The Doric String Quartet & The Music of Peter Knell at Pasadena's Castle Press. Stop the presses! So the members of the Doric String Quartet can sit on them!

A first-ever concert event, the members of the Doric String Quartet, First Prize winner in the Osaka International Chamber Music Competition and hailed as "musicians with fascinating things to say," will shed any classical starch that remains on them as they take their seats on printing machines and stacks of paper in the legendary environs of Pasadena's Castle Press, and perform a new work from composer Peter Knell that will be run off the old die cut printer. In addition, you, the audience, will take a trip into the heart of a brand new piece of music, as Knell and the quartet deconstruct the piece before your eyes. A too-cool after party rounds out this one-of-a-kind evening.

To reserve your seats early, click here or call the box office at (626).539.7085. All tickets $60.00.

No tickets will be issued for this event. Your name will be included on a list at the entrance. Castle Press is located at 1222 N. Fair Oaks Avenue, Pasadena, CA 91103. Click here for a map. (East side of Fair Oaks just south East Claremont Street)
