MUSE/IQUE OFFSTAGE is our magic and our mission. We partner with nonprofit organizations in the greater Pasadena area to make live music experiences accessible for all.

Our Director of Education Heather Lipson Bell designs curriculum-based, small group music interactions that engage participants in this program in a deeper experience of the repertoire and themes of our upcoming performances.

Each OFFSTAGE session is an opportunity for participants to have an up-close experience with artists direct from the
MUSE/IQUE stage; explore self-expression; gain self-confidence and self-control; connect with fellow students and staff; see, hear, and/or play a variety of musical instruments; engage their imaginations; and be inspired. Students act as both audience and participants as each workshop utilizes a kinesthetic approach, incorporating related art forms such as dance, theater and visual arts. Each session is tailored specifically with each nonprofit partner organization in mind.

Participants in our OFFSTAGE sessions are invited to attend all corresponding
MUSE/IQUE performances where they have the opportunity to see the artists they interacted with perform music about the themes they engaged with for free.
