Mingling and dining 6pm / Performance 8pm
Freedom. Individuality. Democracy. From Irving Berlin to Lin-Manuel Miranda to cutting edge dance groups like Ballet Hispánico, innovators with new ideas make America a musical “home sweet home” for everybody.
With an exhilarating tribute to the “Declaration of Independence,” a masterful rendition of “It Ain’t Necessarily So” and smoldering moves to “Carmen.maquia,” MUSE/IQUE celebrates the people who power America.
Continuing MUSE/IQUE’s tradition of creating collaborative experiences that connect the venue environment to the performance, STATES/UNITED will draw inspiration from The Huntington’s vast collections of treasures in American art and history to create a new kind of map of America – one fashioned from thrilling live music performances.
