Ep. #3: Featuring illustrious guitarist Laurence Juber
"Across The Universe" by The Beatles

As music carries us across the universe...

...it introduces us to new sounds and languages. The refrain "Jai Guru Deva Om" in "Across the Universe" is Sanskrit and is a mantra meant to lull the mind into a higher consciousness. It translates to: "I give thanks to the great teacher, om"; jai meaning thanks, guru meaning teacher and deva meaning great. Om is believed to be the sound of harmony in the universe. Even the nature of the melody and harmony are meditative!

A few notes from Rachael and Laurence

"Guru Deva was the teacher of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi (who founded Transcendental Meditation). As a long-time meditator, I’m familiar with the expression." - Laurence Juber

"I love the fact that LJ utilizes his guitar in so many magical ways, including the inventive employment of string re-tunings!" - Rachael Worby

This arrangement of "Across the Universe" can be found on Laurence's upcoming album 'The Fab 4th'.
